Reporting to the Executive VP of Product Management, the Director/VP of Traxcom PLM spearheads the evolution of the Traxcom payments gateway products to a comprehensive suite of end-to-end dial, IP, broadband and mobile payments solutions. This position is responsible for developing and executing the payment transactions product strategy of NewNet, identifying, defining and driving the companyglobally with the payment processing value chain including transaction processors, carriers, retail merchants, point-of-sale equipment manufacturers, internet payment processors, enterprise payment service providers, alternate payment service providers, mobile phone manufacturers and point of sale terminal vendors in line with the company
This is a high-profile position with significant opportunity for interaction with the senior management team in the company. The company is looking for an energetic and creative strategic business leader who can help establish successful business relationships and strategic alliances and effectively participate in value creation.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing and leading the global payments processing solutions engagement strategy
- Defining the business engagement models across all geographies/markets required for the company to drive additional revenue streams for payments processing customers, together with the other partners in the e-commerce and m-commerce payments ecosystem, thus driving additional revenues and growth for the company
- Actively participating and contributing to the evolution of the payments processing product suite and features to meet the evolving needs of the mobile payments ecosystem
- Leading and forging the strategic alliances and partnerships in the payment ecosystem
- Providing sales and customer support while mentoring internal stakeholders
- Building and managing a global payment processing consultancy team within NewNet by recruiting and managing marketing experts who will work in-region to support the customer base and provide expertise and intelligence on global market conditions and trends
- Setting up distribution channels of the payment processing products and services for mobile banking and mobile payment services for customers
- Fostering alliances and partnerships with key global banking and payment processing partners
- Driving the product and solution roadmap and guiding the engineering team in the development of world-class, easy to use technology and solutions
- Developing and leading business cases, including financial modeling, to provide strategic management to drive marketing and revenue targets
- Delivering actionable go to market plans that efficiently leverage all elements of the marketing mix across all channels
- Demonstrating NewNets thought leadership in industry forums and events to enhance the NewNet Traxcom brand value
Key Skills and Requirements:
- World-class market understanding and analysis, identification and strategy regarding the payments transaction ecosystem, specifically the evolution to Mobile Payments supported by:
- Proven, working knowledge in broad range of payment transactions and mobile payment processing technologies and service
- In-depth working knowledge of global and regional payment transaction ecosystem
- Proven record of managing relationship building among the participants in the payments processing value chain
- Significant knowledge and exposure to mobile payments technologies and innovative payments service
- Strong understanding of payments security requirements stipulated by the PCI and other industry and vendor standards
- Active participation in industry associations involving payment processing and wide network of contacts with the payment ecosystem partners and experience in delivering solutions to customers together with partners
- Significant hands-on Product Management, Program Management and Product Development experience
- Excellent knowledge of the payments processing technologies
- Strong communication, leading through influence, cross-functional teamwork and analytical skills
- Ability to deal with complex and ambiguous situations while balancing multiple projects and deliverables across different geographies
- Overall strong leadership, business and cross cultural skills with flexibility to work with dispersedly located teams
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Should be accustomed to operating and multi-tasking within a start-up environment, having been responsible for simultaneously managing and growing existing accounts of varying magnitudes
A comprehensive understanding and contact base including financial transaction acquiring & processing, payment card transactions, mobile payments, telecoms and applications
Knowledge of local culture and business methodologies along with commercial flair and a reputation for delivering exceptional customer centric service
Qualified candidates must be from the industry verticals with significant domain experience
MBA highly preferred - with at least 12-15 years of experience in product management, product/ category marketing, sales, business development, operations and leadership experience with P&L responsibilities
