Ronald E. Pyles - President & CEO

Ronald Pyles

Ron was appointed President and CEO of NewNet Communication Technologies in June, 2009. Previously he served as President of Continuous Computing Corporation, a developer of hardware and software building blocks used by leading telecommunications equipment manufacturers, application developers and global carriers. At Continuous Computing he led the company through a period of remarkable revenue growth and market expansion. Previously, Ron held a variety of sales leadership and executive positions during a twenty-year career at AT&T. While there he played a major role in change management and business process reengineering efforts. At the time he left AT&T Ron was serving as Vice President, General Manager for a multi-state region. Recently, Ron has served as a consultant to multiple early stage wireless application companies, helping them develop go-to-market strategies and fine-tune business plans. Ron has degrees from Baldwin-Wallace College and the Ohio State University and has completed executive education programs at Columbia University and Williams College.



Kutluk Uslu - Chief Technology Officer

Kutluk UsluKutluk has over 15 years of global telecommunications industry experience including software development, customer support and operations from product initiation to customer delivery. He was one of the original core team members that developed NewNet’s signaling product line. He has held senior management roles in product development, customer support, software validation, manufacturing and product management. Kutluk earned B.S. and M.S degrees in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.

 

 


Christopher Aye - Executive Vice President

Christopher AyeChris has over 10 years of experience in business management, mergers & acquisitions and IPO’s. Prior assignments include being a member on various matrix teams at Amgen Inc. and assignments in financial planning and analysis. Prior to Amgen, Chris served as a Senior Analyst in the M&A Transactions Group at Homestore.com. Chris also spent 4 years in the High Technology Audit Group at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Chris received a BA degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in Business Economics with a concentration in Accounting; his MBA is from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. Chris also holds a CPA license in the State of California, and has been an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Chris is a member of the NewNet Board and additionally is a Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Skyview Capital.


Sal Morlando - VP of Product Management and Marketing

Sal MorlandoSal has over 25 years of experience in product management and marketing, product development, and strategic planning. He has extensive experience with establishing and leading product management organizations for both early stage and established technology companies. Before joining NewNet, Sal worked for Neopost Group where he established a Program Management Office and defined product development processes for software and infrastructure products. Prior to Neopost, Sal held the position of Vice President of Product Management for SS8 Networks. Sal holds a MBA degree from the University of Bridgeport, a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and a Bachelor of Science in Bio-Medical Engineering from Boston University in Boston MA.


Michael R. Maher - Chief Financial Officer

Michael R. MaherMike has in excess of 25 years of financial management and systems experience within the financial services and manufacturing industries. Fifteen years were spent with Merrill Lynch in financial, planning, and risk management roles, the last being Vice President of Finance for Global Commodity Trading and Finance. He also has management experience within the manufacturing sector and has served as a consultant to firms in a number of industries, specializing in the development of applications which maximize financial control, reporting and analysis. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Central Connecticut State University, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. He is also a United States Navy veteran.

 


Elizabeth De Angelis - Vice President Global Sales

Elizabeth De AngelisElizabeth has over 20 years of global telecom sales experience. Serving in Sales Director positions at Continuous Computing Corporation and Intel/Trillium, Elizabeth consistently delivered significant revenue growth in protocol source code, professional services and associated hardware and software building blocks for leading network equipment providers. Elizabeth led a sales team at SBC Wireless that crafted and implemented strategies to develop and maintain deep relationships and high customer satisfaction with top tier corporate accounts. Her team successfully drove early adoption of wireless technology for early (pre digital) data applications implemented by public utilities and radio broadcasters. At Fujitsu Imaging Systems, Elizabeth provided sales leadership and product training on networked fax products. Her efforts led to significant business expansion leading to the creation of additional sales offices in the US. Elizabeth has a degree in Marketing/Management from Bentley University.

 


Pradeep Malhotra - Vice President Engineering

Pradeep has over 16 years of telecom/networking industry experience, targeting solutions for infrastructure providers and wireless carriers. Prior to joining NewNet Communication Technologies, Pradeep was responsible for managing the global software engineering team at Vanu Inc. and also for the site operations as Managing Director for the development center at Bangalore, India which he had founded back in 2007. Prior to Vanu, he has held a broad range of positions including software development, engineering management and general management roles with Trillium Digital Systems that have covered technologies such as: SS7, VOIP, ISDN, wireless (2G, 3G, CDMA etc.). He was a key architect there in developing the Distributed Fault Tolerant architecture for telecom protocols and applications and was awarded a patent for the same. The Trillium business was acquired by Intel Corp in 2000 and later by Continuous Computing, the leading provider of cPCI and ATCA platform solutions. After working in the US for 8 years, in 2004 Pradeep started the India operations for Continuous Computing which he grew to 100+ employees in less than 2 years time. Pradeep started his career in 1993 working as a Research Engineer at Center for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) at New Delhi, India. Pradeep has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication from IIT, Roorkee (India) along with an Executive MBA from IIM, Bangalore (India)


Ang Ledford - Vice President Operations

Ang has more than 22 years experience in both domestic and international business operations. At NewNet Communication Technologies, she is responsible for all aspects of NewNet’s business operations and partnership strategies. Prior to joining NewNet Communication Technologies, Ang was the Vice President and General Manager at Traxcom Technologies, where she was responsible for the overall profitability and management of the Secure Transaction Processing business. She has worked in a number of key business and technical roles streamlining the operational processes, while continuously driving cost efficiencies. Prior to her role at Traxcom Technologies, she held a number of management positions at UTStarcom, Inc., and 3Com and played a key leadership role in the divestiture of multiple product lines. In 2010, Ang represented NewNet Communications at the NGT Africa C-Level Summit, where she met with delegates and leading innovators to share ideas on the deployment of mobile, broadband and fixed services in this rapidly converging market. Ang has a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVry Institute of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management.
