NewNet has partnered with UTstarcom to deliver the mSwitch product family in the Americas. 

The mSwitch® NGN product family includes IP Telephony solutions for next generation voice and data networks. Applications supported by UTStarcom include Class 4 and Class 5 PSTN emulation (PES), Voice over Broadband (VoBB) and Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC), among others. UTStarcom’s mSwitch NGN solution helps service providers reduce recurring operating expense (OPEX), while enabling new applications and providing an integrated back end system (BES) for solutions including NGN, Broadband and IPTV. The NGN solution architecture ensures a converged Triple Play” service delivery of voice, data and video.

Today’s service providers are offering their customers new converged services and applications, including a range of rich multimedia applications. Legacy TDM systems are not designed to meet these new demands, but NGN can help operators provide these new leading-edge services while also enabling cost and operational efficiencies. The mSwitch NGN system provides flexibility in services deployment as well as an optimal platform for provisioning new services and applications, all while delivering on scalability and reliability requirements.

The mSwitch NGN portfolio includes key network elements like Call Server (more commonly referred to as softswitch), Media Gateways, Signaling Gateway and Operations Support System (OSS).
