Total Control 3100® Home Agent

The NewNet Total Control 3100 Home Agent is a Mobile IP standards compliant solution for providing seamless mobility to wireless mobile nodes. Whether it is a CDMA2000 network or a Wi-Fi WLAN, the Total Control 3100 HA can provide continuous secured access to the mobile’s home network. It is a robust and highly scalable solution for a wireless data network. The Total Control 3100 architecture allows carriers, ISPs, and enterprises to select the configuration that meets their specific needs for features and capacity.

High Density and Capacity

The Total Control 3100 Home Agent is evolved from the widely deployed and field-proven carrier class Total Control platform. The Total Control 3100 HA supports up to 60,000 MIP sessions or 60,000 L2TP sessions with a throughput of 600Mbps.

Reliability with 1:1 Redundancy

In addition to the high density and capacity, the Total Control 3100 HA offers high reliability. The application is designed to be self-recovering to reduce interruptions in services. For recovery from critical failures, the Total Control 3100 HA can provide for stateful 1:1 redundancy, which is meant to ensure that there’s no interruption to service.

Incremental Capacity

The Total Control 3100 HA allows customers to deploy a small network now with as few as 500 simultaneous sessions and add licenses for additional capacity as the network grows, up to 60,000 sessions. This can allow the operator to size their investment to ensure a high rate of return on the investments

Mobile IP

The network-node mobility that mobile IP offers can be a catalyst to the adoption of emerging services such as VoIP over wireless, streaming media, and data service for mass transportation. Moreover, it could change how users access their network services so that always-on services can be provided even as the end user moves from network to network that may span the globe.
