As CDMA2000 standards evolve from 1xRTT to 1xEV-DO rev. 0 and rev. A (Evolution-Data Optimized), the PDSN becomes a more critical component of the core data network. And as voice service revenues decrease, data services become increasingly necessary to maintain/increase ARPU (average revenue per user). The Total Control 3100 PDSN has been designed to work at whichever network that the customer chooses. Being highly scalable, it lends itself to deployment in either a centralized or distributed architecture. The same Total Control 3100 PDSN used in the distributed configuration can be converted to a centralized configuration without changing the software or the hardware. The service provider purchases capacity and features only as needed in their network, allowing the operator to expend capital as revenue from subscribers grow.
