Packet Data Server Node (PDSN)

NewNet's Total Control® PDSN portfolio enables packet data services for CDMA2000 wireless users. The PDSN portfolio includes Total Control 1000 and Total Control 3100 platforms, each geared for different applications. The Total Control 1000 and Total Control 3100 platforms are optimally deployed in wide area networks. NewNet's Total Control PDSN portfolio is a proven, carrier-class suite of products designed to enable CDMA2000 packet data services. The Total Control 1000 platform provides support for up to 128,000 Point to Point Protocol (PPP) sessions  in a chassis while the Total Control 3100 platform provides support for up to 60,000 PPP sessions in a 1U chassis. The Total Control PDSNs are based on 3GPP2 standards specifications and are interoperable with other standards-based network elements. NewNet's Total Control 3100 platform is also an Access Serviing Network gateway in a WiMAX network.

 Home Agent (HA)

NewNet's Total Control® HA portfolio enables mobile data services in a CDMA2000 network. The HA terminates Mobile IP tunnels initiated by the PDSN or Foreign Agent (FA) and maintains the mobility binding information for each Mobile IP session. Like the PDSN portfolio, the HA portfolio includes Total Control 1000 HA and Total Control 3100 HA, each designed for different application. NewNet's Total Control HA portfolio is based on 3GPP2 standard specifications and is developed to interoperate with other standards-based network elements. The HA directs traffic to mobile nodes via Foreign Agents (FA) deployed in the network. The HA can be co-located with the PDSN, thereby lowering network deployment and maintenance costs. The Total Control HA portfolio provides high capacity, with Total Control 1000 HA providing support for 160,000 mobile binding records per chassis and Total Control 3100 HA providing support for 100,000 mobile binding records per 1U chassis. NewNet's Total Control 3100 platform also supports HA functionality for WiMAX networks.

Access Serving Network Gateway

The Total Control 3100 ASN-GW functions as an access gateway between the 802.16e wireless domain and the IP network for WiMax mobile phones. The ASN-GW, an essential element within a mobile network, is built on an open architecture that is standards compliant. NewNet’s WiMAX ASN-GW is running on the next generation Total Control 3100 platform which provides a solution that can meet the customer’s needs from low volume trials to high density centralized deployments.
