Multimedia Applications ModulesMercury's MultiMedia application layer provides an array of innovative services and tools needed to develop and deploy rich multimedia campaigns. Each module is under licenses control, enabling CSP's to configure the layer to their exact requirements.
Campaign Module provides scheduling and management of campaigns and works in unison with the Composer module. Additionally, it manages and tracks mobile multimedia services and advertising campaigns and includes viral tracking. Composer Module allows corporations, content providers, advertisers and subscribers to create, compile and distribute multimedia content to subscribers and communities. Composer is a functionally rich, high capacity and intuitive mobile multimedia compilation and authoring tool for SMS, MMS & WAP push. It is accessible as a web based GUI. The GUI can also be cut down to provide more limited functionality in other formats, such as a CSP’s portal. It is also available as a desktop application. The interface provides for: CP Gateway enables universal CP connectivity into the CSP environment for any multimedia bearer channel and for multiple multimedia protocols. The gateway supports both PUSH and PULL services. CP Gateway module provides a single point of management: Wholesale Gateway is a web based GUI which enables approved 3rd party content and advertising partners to purchase inventory made available by the CSP. Inventory types and individual units of inventory can be priced in advance by the CSP. Also thresholds can be set to enable the pricing level – or even the pricing mechanism – to change depending on demand for said inventory. Finally, the Wholesale Gateway can work in unison with the platform’s service control functionality to define the amount of available capacity at any given time. SMS2MMS (P2P SMS content insertion) On an opt-in basis, peer to peer SMS are intercepted and forwarded as MMS messages – and advertising content is inserted.
MyVideo is a Video Clip portal where clips are uploaded to the portal via MMS and then viewable via a videostream, videocall or as “best of” push MMS.
