SOFTMODEM-BRICKS

Enea Netbricks Line of Protocols for Signal Analysis and Processing

Enea offers a wide range of highly portable telecom protocol stacks for TDM, 3G, IMS, and NGN networks, as well as fax and data transfer protocols and signal processing and analysis software. All Enea Netbricks protocols stacks are compliant with ITU, ETSI, ANSI, IETF, 3GPP, and many other standards bodies’ specifications.

All of Enea Netbricks protocols are written in ANSI C and take advantage of a modular, portable architecture that allows hardware platform and compiler independence. Enea Netbricks protocols are provided in source code to over 400 network equipment providers (NEPs), and device OEMs worldwide, assisting them in getting products to market quickly, with very low risk and significantly reduced development costs.

  • Portable protocol stacks compliant with protocol standards as published by the key standards bodies around the world ( ITU, ETSI, ANSI, IETF, 3GPP).
  • Supplied as source code.
  • Used by over 400 global, industry leading telecommunications equipment manufacturers and OEMs.
  • Backed by over 20 years of protocol development expertise and 40 years of telecom software expertise.

Overview

SOFTMODEM-BRICKS is a family of portable software products designed to implement Fax/Modem modulations. It can be easily integrated with other Enea protocol stacks including V42-BRICKS, T30-FAX-BRICKS, and ISDN-BRICKS.

SOFTMODEM-BRICKS has been optimized for several CPUs including Pentium, PowerPC, MIPS, ARM 7/9, and TI DSP C5x/C6x.

Enea can fine tune the SoftModem software to achieve customer's specific requirements. In addition, Enea can provide source code for detection and generation of call progress tones, DTMF, Caller ID (ETSI).

DMOD-BRICKS
DMOD-BRICKS is a demodulation variant of SOFTMODEM-BRICKS that is used for fax and voiceband modem interception. Please view the DMOD-BRICKS Web page for more information.

T.38 Bricks
T38-BRICKS is the implementation of the T.38 Fax Relay protocol and is available for use in Facsimile Gateways or in Internet Aware Facsimile devices (IAF). T38-BRICKS is fully compliant with ITU-T T.38 (03/2002) and implements the IFT (Internet Facsimile Transfer) protocol as specified in this recommendation. This protocol uses an IP network to transport the IFT protocol data units through UDP or TCP. Please view the T38-BRICKS Web page for more information.
